Yes, as simple as that seems just playing through the campaign, and taking any side missions along the way is not gets you to rank five early on in the game, but also allows you the opportunity to give the player an opportunity in the games control scheme and gameplay. You’ll also receive your first trophy, the Griffin head, which for the next few missions after that you’ll definitely need.

Using the right tools for the job

If we’ve learned anything from monster hunters like Blade, and Val Helsing; you have to bring the right tools along to get the job done right. In the Witcher 3, this also rings true Killing monsters will be no easy feat if all you bring along are the weapons you start off with in the beginning of the game. Granted the equipping the Silver Witcher sword grants you a 20% boost in experience. Both swords and armor are classified in three different schools, the first being the Griffin school armor and swords, which can be crafted at level 8 and as you rank up better, and stronger weapons will be granted to you. The two other schools are the Feline school and Ursine school, all three having unique abilities to help you scale the ranks fairly easily.

Setting off on your own.

If your feeling gutsy, and confident after completing a few of the campaign missions and are looking for a fight. Setting off on your own will still need a little research. What you’ll be looking for are medium to high-ranking monsters for quick ranking, some of those to specifically look out for are Drowners, which can be found near the water in a variety of places on the map. Along the way many of the enemies you may want to target for the experience points will come in the form of Witcher contracts which also grant you a monetary reward.

These 3 methods aren’t the only ones that allow players the opportunity to rank up in The Witcher 3 effectively, but do give them a try and experiment with a few of your own. The Witcher 3 is an incredibly challenging and engrossing game that you’ll find hard to put down.
