This is possibly my all time favorite book of the month post. Not only are the books featured my favorite ones to read as a teenager, but I’ve realized that out of every member of the family, it’s most likely your teenager that you may have a hard time encouraging to read more.
It’s not as hard as you may think, it just takes a little bit of creativity and thinking out side of the box. I’ve found graphic novels (comic books also) to be a great way to get teens to read more. You do have to tap into something they like of course. For my family Marvel superheroes are a staple.
We picked these 4 as the ones we’ve read from our family book shelf. I’m the die hard Venom fan that added “Venom: Lethal Protector” to the 3, in case you were wondering. I’ll be the first to admit there will be moments where the last thing you’ll want to do is read. Rather than force yourself, why not make it interesting; and treat yourself!
After all, for every genre of book available there’s a suitable graphic novel that’s catch your eye. If you’re looking for more graphic novels check out the Book Store!
