January Book of the Month: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families

Happy New Year! Needless to say, I’m excited as to what this new year holds for all of us. When we begin looking for books to feature as our book of the month, the same questions always come up. How can we top last month? What book do we feel will have an impact or help them in some way?

No one wants to start off the New Year unprepared! I’m willing to bet many of you reading this took the time out to review your resolution list before the ball dropped. However, how many of us sat down with our families and made a list that covered your family(Dad’s pay attention…). Why not? Our family is without a doubt the most important aspect of our lives. No community or organization has the potential to affect any individual as much as your family will, the good and the bad of it.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families

I was blessed to come across this awesome read in a library book sale. You’d be amazed at the gems you can still find for $1. Just as you would find in his other books under a similar title. Stephen R. Covey created the ultimate family manual for 2021!

And if you haven’t read, it would be a high priority on your reading lists. Every one of us belongs to a family, and this book covers situations where every member; whether your dad, mom, grandma, cousin Joey. The 7 habits Mr. Covey presents and lays out for readers are essential building blocks for every family.

It makes this a must-have for your family’s personal library! You’ll also love how these habits are exactly what families need to endure what’s to come in 2021. I know, we are looking forward to the good that’s to come with this year, but we must also be aware of the ugliness of the previous one and it’s the shadow that carries over.

There are challenges that families will have to face as a result of everything 2020 brought. We are still in the grips of a deadly pandemic that brought permanent changes to the way we live, work, and interact. With these challenges, we all had to make hard choices to the way we as families approach them. This book is so deep and useful for families, I’ve decided that it would make for a great series of posts and podcasts, which we will begin this month. Keep a lookout for the first podcast which will be an introduction to the new series “Developing Highly Families for 2021”

I’ve you’d like to have notifications of when we publish any of these posts and podcasts subscribe today!
